Life Drawing session 26/01/12

Today i was very fortunate to draw in the life drawing session using an iPad. Its a very handy piece of equipment to use as you have access to a large amount of colours and brush textures. Thought i would experiment with larger brush strokes and bright colours for the first couple of drawings and then move on to a more refined painting for the longer pose.

The downside i found to drawing on the iPad was that you are restricted a a small frame size. I know sometimes it can be good to draw at different scales than what i am comfortable with because this brings out some interesting concepts and ideas but for the purpose of the life drawing sessions i prefer to draw in much larger scales.

I think for this module i am going to loosen up my drawing/painting both traditionally and digitally. I did something similar with my ILUS 240 project but for that i was primarily focusing on my use of line as apposed to form and colour.
